Course Description:

This Workplace Harassment Awareness training course is intended for all Employers who are required to provide awareness education on what is meant by Harassment, the types of Harassment, and the steps the organization has taken to prevent Harassment in the workplace.

Safety and Health regulations in all Provinces which requires that Employers demonstrate a commitment to increasing awareness of what is considered harassing behaviour; and that such behaviour will not be tolerated.

Employers are required to protect employees from harassing behaviour in the workplace, which includes making a Statement of Commitment and implementing a Harassment Prevention policy and procedures. This is an awareness level training course and is intended to educate employees to better understand the rights, roles, and responsibilities when it comes to preventing harassment in their workplace.

The course includes 9 sections:

  2. Definition of Harassment
  3. What is Not Harassment
  4. Employee Rights and Responsibilities
  5. Employer Rights and Responsibilities
  6. Monitoring the Policy
  7. Complaint Process and Procedures
  8. Corrective Actions
  9. Remedies for Affected Workers
  10. Retaliation

A testing option is included following completion of the material review to check and confirm the Employee's understanding of the material.
